June 18, 2012 The Weekly Link Up

0 As has been reported by the Washington Post, Maryland basketball is going to be getting some new jerseys! To be honest, if they’re following the football team’s “pride” themed motif, I’m not exactly certain that I want to see these. Mark Turgeon might be wary, too.
0 Speaking of Terps trends, when it comes to recruiting Mark Turgeon has decided to take the early and often route, as evidenced by him being the first college to reach out to 2014 forward Justin Jackson. His familiarity with the Texas AAU system certainly pays dividends. (NBE)
0 Testudo Times is an awesome source for Terps hoops, and their Basketball Roundtable segment is always great. This one is a little old, but it addresses some pertinent offseason Terps questions.
0 Hollis Thompson, the former Georgetown big man, is getting some looks from a lot of teams (Celtics have shown definite interest). I’m being selfish here, but I’d love to see him playing in a Wizards uniform after watching him overachieve in the Tournament. (WaPo)
0 Jason Clark is another Georgetown player hoping to get scooped up by an NBA squad, but he’s not having as much luck. Fortunately, as has always been the case with this young man, he’s keeping a positive attitude and seizing every opportunity. (CSN Washington)
0 The big news for the Washington Wizards was obviously them working out Bradley Beal, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, and Thomas Robinson. They were definitely impressed with Beal during his time at the Verizon Center. (WaPo)
0 In slightly related Wizards news, the Bobcats who draft one spot ahead of the good guys at 2, have narrowed their pick down to three players. This is without a doubt going to have implications on Washington’s apparent liking of Beal. (SLAM)
0 Another thing that might shake up the NBA draft a bit is if one of the top 3 teams picking decide to trade their pick to the Chicago Bulls. If that’s the case, everything is up in the air. (Sporting News)
